As much as rowing seems like an exercise in the arm, most of the strength for each stroke really comes from the leg push. It's also important to note that it's not just how many strokes a minute you can do, but about the quality of each stroke and how much space you can create for each stroke.

Scaling:
Beginning athletes can use warm-up time to allow for controlled exposure to the GHD, while choosing abmat sit-ups for the workout portion. Push hard on the monostructural work, aiming to complete a round in 6 minutes or less.
Intermediate Option:

Beginner Option:

Scaling:
Bookended with 1,000-m rows, we have light overhead squats and pull-ups. Choose a weight on the squat that keeps you moving as the reps increase. Similarly, the pull-up modification should be challenging but allow you to maintain high intensity.
